<note>Urinary tract infections (UTIs) is infection can develop throughout the urinary tract involve the bladder, prostate, or in the kidney can also become infected. Most common UTIs are caused by bowel organisms (especially Escherichia coli). The entry of organisms into the urinary tract can occur through either an ascending route from urethra. 
UTIs are classified as either uncomplicated or complicated, because patients with UTIs have a risk of severe infection, treatment failure, or recurrent infection is make important to choice good antibiotics for therapy. 
Thus, the purpose of this study was to observe the pattern of antibiotics uses in patients with UTIs in RUMKITAL Dr. Ramelan Hospital, Surabaya. 
Non experimental descriptive retrospective study was used in which medical records of patients with UTIs during antibiotics therapies were analyzed. The most antibiotics used was ciprofloxacin (56%) following by third generation of cephalosporin, cefotaxime (44%) and ampicillin (16%) and the others on small percentage. The most common route of administration in this study was intravenous than oral administration. 
The therapeutic plan is formed from a consideration of patient factors, microbiologic factors, and clinical outcome data.</note>
